Your expertise will directly influence the successful resolution of complex litigation matters, ensuring positive outcomes for our clients and upholding the highest standards of legal practice.** In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in navigating the intricacies of legal disputes, particularly within residential foreclosure and real estate law. You will contribute to key initiatives by providing expert legal counsel, meticulously analyzing cases, and representing clients in various legal proceedings. Your strategic thinking and hands-on litigation experience will be vital in developing and executing focused legal plans, directly contributing to the firm's reputation for excellence and client satisfaction. **Primary Responsibilities:** * Possess and apply strong knowledge of the residential foreclosure process and general real estate law, including litigation, title curative/title claims, and post-judgment litigation. * Review and analyze pre- and post-judgment title issues, assessing resolution options to ensure marketable title for clients. * Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and legal opinions. * Draft substantive pleadings, motions, legal opinions, and memoranda with precision and clarity. * Represent clients effectively at court hearings, mediations, depositions, and other required appearances. * Analyze cases, propound focused discovery, and assist clients with responses to discovery requests, including identifying and reviewing responsive documents. * Communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with clients on issues affecting their cases, providing strategic legal advice and assessing potential outcomes. * Develop and implement focused litigation plans to ensure the efficient and ethical resolution of litigated matters. * Maintain comprehensive case management status reports and collaborate regularly with paralegals on assigned matters. * Effectively and efficiently manage a large volume of workload, demonstrating strong organizational skills. * Meet minimum monthly billable hour requirements, reflecting dedication and productivity. * Regularly review and approve pre-bills for time input by legal staff on assigned files. **Must-Have Qualifications:** * Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. * Active membership in good standing with the Massachusetts Bar. * At least 3-5 years of civil litigation/trial experience. * Strong knowledge of the residential foreclosure process and general real estate law. * Proven litigation experience, including title curative/title claims and post-judgment litigation. * Demonstrated ability to review and analyze pre- and post-judgment title issues. * Proficiency in drafting substantive pleadings, motions, and memoranda. * Excellent communication and courtroom appearance skills. * Computer savvy with experience in standard office software and case management systems. * Strong work ethic and a collaborative team player mindset. * Keen attention to detail and highly organized. * Ability to multi-task effectively and manage a large volume of workload efficiently. **Nice-to-Have Qualifications:** * Experience handling FDCPA, RESPA, and TILA claims. * Creditor rights experience. * Admission to the Rhode Island and New Hampshire Bars. * Commercial real estate experience. **About Aquent Talent:** Aquent Talent connects the best talent in marketing, creative, and design with the world's biggest brands.
