What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a seasoned Fabrication Project Planner with relevant industry experience to support Tesla's Gigafactory New York infrastructure. This position will be directly responsible for planning and scheduling daily maintenance and projects in various stages, as well as tracking and reporting progress during execution. The Fabrication Project Planner determines the proper scope of a job to solve the problem's root cause and how to complete the job. Job scope will include identifying the labor requirements, materials, special tools, equipment, and sequence of job steps required to safely, efficiently, and effectively accomplish a given task.
What You'll Do
- Own the scope of fabrication project planning: design review, procurement, scheduling, communication with customers, and timely completion
- Highlight risks in time, scope, and cost to avoid delays or excess costas well as seek out opportunities to reduce costs
- Lead continuous improvement projects related to team performance
- Lead station/tool install/build projects for maintenance and engineering teams
- Provide comments/improvements to designs based on experience and field conditions
- Display a positive attitude and practice strong work ethic that reflects the mission, philosophy, and goals of Tesla
- Attend scheduled corporate training and meetings
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Engineering, Management, Business Administration preferred, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience with managing engineering projects
- Experience submitting quotes, working with vendors, and procuring parts and services
- Ability to travel for, at a minimum, one week at a time, several times per year
- In depth experience with Solidworks or similar CAD software, specifically creating models and assemblies, and creating assembly documents and engineering drawings
- Experience with other engineering software, including, but not limited to, AutoCAD, EPLAN, Catia, or Fusion as well as demonstrates experience with continuous improvement methodologies
- Ability to command the English language, both written and verbal

Expected Compensation
- Associate Maintenance Planner - $68,400 - $102,600/annual salary
- Maintenance Planner - $79,200 - $118,800/annual salary
+ cash and stock awards + benefits for all levels
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
