Staffmark is partnering with a growing manufacturing company in Sauget, IL, and they're looking for a hands-on, experienced Assistant Shipping Manager who knows how to keep things moving-literally and operationally. This is a direct hire opportunity offering long-term growth and stability.

Salary: Starting at $74,000/year

Schedule: 1st Shift | Full Time | Direct Hire

Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • (Degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred)
  • 2+ years of shipping experience in a manufacturing/production environment
  • Solid understanding of freight coordination, packaging standards, and inventory systems
  • Comfortable using ERP/WMS systems
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Familiar with DOT, OSHA, and warehouse safety practices



Responsibilities:



  • Manage daily shipping operations: scheduling, packaging, labeling, and documentation
  • Coordinate with freight carriers, vendors, and internal departments
  • Supervise and support shipping team members, ensuring safety and efficiency
  • Monitor inventory for outbound shipments and maintain documentation
  • Troubleshoot shipping issues quickly and professionally
  • Implement process improvements to reduce delays and control costs
  • Ensure all activities comply with company standards and regulatory requirements
