A Brief Overview
The US LBM Pricing Manager works with Director Supply Chain Optimization to rollout and implement a pricing strategy across all US LBM operating companies while striving for price rationalization and optimization.
What you will do
- Own pricing EBITDA improvement through sales and margin improvement.
- Behave as change agent in owning process and program management of pricing initiative rollout.
- Oversee pricing functions for designated region of US LBM Divisions * Strategic pricing and increased pricing automation * Tactical pricing for manual pricing requirements and necessary adjustments * Pricing analytics and on-going support * Establish credibility as Subject Matter Expert on pricing module of ERP
- Manage delivery of comprehensive pricing process review * Evaluation of catalog price: Catalog price setting process review; Catalog price setting process review; Catalog price setting methodology standardization among the Divisions; Catalog price update mechanism * Customer value proposition determination: Review key customer accounts' performance; Drive sales growth and increased customer share of wallet * Price discounting rules review: Customer segmentation / sub-segmentation review; Drive adoption of common approaches across the Divisions; Discussion of value creation opportunities * Sales process effectiveness review with the Divisions' management: Sales Volume and margin patterns; Compensation model alignment; Pricing over-rides * Competitive landscape review and its alignment with pricing
- Change Management * Develop implementation plans and direct team of pricing analyst(s) * Manage and communicate change implementation related to pricing * Review sales incentives to ensure alignment to overall pricing strategy
- Conduct periodic review for to pricing compliance and continuous improvement * Monitor pricing rules compliance * Develop process to review price exceptions and incorporate market feedback into the core pricing * Identify common causes of non-compliance and address the root causes

Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree & above in business, accounting, economics, finance, etc. required.
Experience Qualifications
- 3-5 years of management experience with a deep knowledge of lumber and building materials distribution, specific to sales and operations along with a working knowledge of pricing process either in practice or strategy.
- Working knowledge of pricing science with a familiarity with relevant pricing concepts, pricing formula / algorithm construction, utilization of statistical methods.
- Experience configuring and using ERP systems.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to quickly establish credibility and build long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders, to make decisions with limited data, to rapidly build a consensus via clear communication.
- Can present key arguments clearly and convincingly sometimes using memo or Power Point slides; speak articulately and passionately about the Pricing function, strategy, benefits, risks, and challenges on an impromptu basis.
- Power-user ability in MS Excel is a must.
Travel Requirements
- Employment can be remote; possibly up to 50% travel to US LBM divisions.
