Position Title: Emergency Management Services (EMS) Medical Director

Location: Dobbins Air Reserve Base (DARB), Georgia

FLSA Classification: Hourly (1099 is an option)

Employment Class: Less Then Part-Time Regular (Estimated work schedule: 2 hours a week/ 8 hours a month/96 hours a year)

Position Summary

MSONE 1Prospect JV LLC is currently seeking Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Medical Director at Dobbins Air Reserve Base (DARB), Georgia for DARB Fire and Emergency Services. The position may be performed entirely remotely, except for quarterly in-person meetings at DARB. Estimated work schedule 2hrs wk/ 8hrs month/96 hrs year.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • There are 50 EMS personnel under the Medical Director's oversight for credentialing and certification purposes.

  • Providing oversight of EMS related education for personnel involved with the EMS System.

  • At a minimum meet in person on a quarterly basis to review issues and program progress.

  • Conduct monthly review of at least 10 EMS reports or 10% (whichever is greater).

  • Review EMS protocol.

  • Support EMS staff through education, credentialing, and quality assurance programs.

  • Facilitate continuous performance improvement and patient safety.

  • Curriculum approval.

  • Approve scope of practice/level of care (EMT, AEMT or PARAMED).

  • Oversee operations, protocols, and patient care.

  • Review and approve EMS strategic and operational plans annually.

  • Perform compliance checks with Joint Prehospital Emergency Care Protocols, National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).

  • Review and approve EMS policies and procedures.

  • Oversee credentialing and certification of EMS personnel.

  • Approve procurement of medical supplies, incompliance with the Contracting Officer Representative (COR).

  • Lead quality assurance and root cause analysis for patient care incidents.

  • Exercise and comply with the HIPAA Privacy & Security Rule and will be held accountable for complying with health information privacy and security policies and procedures.

Education, Certification & Experience Requirements

* Board Certified in Emergency Medicine in the state of Georgia

* Medical Degree - Graduate from a medical school in the United States, Canada, or approved by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education of the American Medical Association (AMA).

* Healthcare Provider License current, valid, unrestricted license specific to the position (with no limitations, stipulations or pending adverse actions) in one of the 50 US States and/or territories.

* National Provider Identifier (NPI), Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or the American Red Cross.

* 1 year of experience within the last 2 years working fulltime as a Physician in EMS systems and pre-hospital care.

* Completion of an accredited residency approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

Working Conditions:

* The position may be performed entirely remotely, except for quarterly in-person meetings at DARB.

* Estimated work schedule is 2 hours per week/8 hours per month/96 hours per year
