Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) is an engineering and scientific investigation and failure analysis firm. We primarily work with law firms, insurance companies, and manufacturers on small to large-scale projects to answer any technical questions they have. Our projects can entail investigating major transportation accidents, equipment failures, personal injury claims, and damage to residential or commercial structures. This role will play a key part in sourcing candidates, coordinating interviews, and ensuring a seamless candidate experience. The ideal candidate is passionate about recruitment, highly organized, and eager to contribute to a mission-driven team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with HR Leadership and hiring managers to understand job requirements and candidate profiles.
- Source candidates through job boards, social media, networking, and direct outreach.
- Screen resumes and conducts initial phone interviews to assess qualifications and fit.
- Schedule interviews and coordinate communication between candidates and hiring teams.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Assist in drafting and posting job descriptions and advertisements.
- Support employer branding initiatives and recruitment marketing campaigns.
- Attend career fairs, university events, and industry conferences as needed.
- Provide a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
- Track and report on recruitment metrics and candidate pipeline status.
- Partner with HR and hiring managers to ensure a smooth transition from candidate selection to onboarding, supporting a positive new hire experience.
- Ensure recruitment activities comply with employment laws and internal policies, maintaining accurate documentation and records for all candidates.
- Identify opportunities to improve sourcing strategies, candidate engagement, and recruitment workflows based on feedback and performance data.
- Leverage sourcing platforms, HCM, and recruitment analytics dashboards to enhance candidate outreach and pipeline management.
- Monitor and report on key recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, candidate conversion rates, and quality-of-hire to support data-driven decision-making.
Education Required:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration, or applicable experience.
Computer Skills:
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Must have general experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Other Skills/Abilities or Other Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in recruiting, preferably in engineering, technical services, or consulting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with ATS platforms and sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, etc.).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
- Interest in forensic engineering or technical industries is a plus.
