Pulmonary Medicine-Critical Care Opportunity

This is a dual posting linked with Job ID 57390 and two candidates will be selected. The final title will depend on the qualification of the final candidates.

The University of Missouri's School of Medicine, Department of Pulmonary - Critical Care, is expanding our services. We currently are recruiting for a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our growing critical care inpatient services. This is an excellent career opportunity for candidates just starting their careers, as well as experienced candidates, to join a thriving academic pulmonary - critical care division. Working alongside residents and attending physicians, we foster a team-based approach to patient care with thriving clinical and educational opportunities.

Position Responsibilities:

* Work independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals to provide care to Critical care patients in a Medical Intensive Care Unit setting
* Educate and set treatment plans ensuring adherence to therapies
* Act as a resource for patients and families and participate in their education and understanding of the healthcare services provided
* Communicate with physicians about changes in patients' clinical conditions, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology
* Performs diagnostic procedures and follow-up studies as needed.
* Demonstrate a high level of autonomy and expert skills in the diagnosis and treatment of health problems

Shift

Shift Type: 7 on/7 off current shift schedule

Minimum Qualifications

Master of Science in Nursing degree.
Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days.
Must be granted a "Document of Recognition" from the Missouri Board of Nursing.

Preferred Qualifications

Possess a specialty certificate by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB), the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN), the Pediatric Certification Nursing Board (PCNB), or the National Certification Corporation (NCC).
Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $108,971.20 - $120,000
Grade: PAT - 014
University Title: NURSE PRACTITIONER SPECIALTY CARE III
