The Intelligence Production Solutions Division (IPSD), part of the Decision Advantage Solutions Business Area, is currently seeking a highly skilledTraining Coordinator/Instructional Designer Subject Matter Expert (SME)to support theChinook Program with theNational Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). This role will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and delivering comprehensive training solutions that ensure NGA personnel are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to effectively use geospatial intelligence systems and tools. The ideal candidate will have a background in instructional design, training coordination, and adult learning principles, with a strong focus on geospatial technologies.

Position may be performed in the following locations below. Please note Gaithersburg, MD is the program's primary work location.

Clearance Level Required:

Top Secret with the ability to obtain SCI, as well as a Polygraph.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement training programsfor end-users of NGA's geospatial intelligence systems and applications on Task Order 2 (TO2), ensuring alignment with user needs and mission requirements.
  • Create engaging and effectiveinstructional materialsincluding course outlines, training manuals, e-learning modules, and job aids.
  • Coordinatetraining schedulesand ensure logistics are in place for both in-person, CONUS and OCONUS, and virtual training sessions.
  • Collaborate with SMEs, system engineers, and project managers to gather content for training materials and ensure technical accuracy.
  • Facilitatetrain-the-trainersessions and assist in building internal capabilities for continuous knowledge transfer.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics to continuously improve content and delivery methods.
  • Deliverclassroom and virtual instructor-led training (ILT)andself-paced eLearningsolutions on geospatial systems, data analysis, and software tools used by NGA.
  • Administer and track training progress, ensuring that users achieve proficiency in the systems and tools critical to NGA's operations.
  • Serve as a liaison between the training team and NGA leadership to identify new training needs based on evolving mission requirements and user feedback.
  • Stay up to date with emerging instructional design trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance the effectiveness of training efforts.
  • Gather and identify lessons learned and user feedback for continuous training improvement. Additionally implementing feedback loops with the software development team for software improvements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • US citizenship is required per contract.
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Training & Development, or related field and 12-15 years of prior relevant experience or Master's with 10-13 years of prior relevant experience.
  • 8+ years of experience intraining coordination,instructional design, or related fields, with a focus ongeospatial intelligence (GEOINT)or similar technical environments.
  • Proven experience in creating and delivering training programs foradult learnersin complex, mission-driven settings.
  • Strong proficiency with instructional design methodologies and experience withlearning management systems (LMS).
  • Ability to design and developeLearning contentusing tools like Adobe Captivate, or other similar software.
  • Familiarity withGEOINT systems(e.g., ArcGIS, Google Earth, NGA tools) and an understanding of their application within the NGA mission.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, engaging, and easily understandable manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge ofGEOINT,geospatial data analysis, andmapping technologies.
  • Familiarity withAgile methodologiesand understanding of how to incorporate these into the training development process.
  • Experience withvirtual training platforms(e.g., WebEx, Zoom, Microsoft Teams) and creating engaging online training solutions.
  • Experience inproject managementand familiarity with tools such asConfluence, Jira, Microsoft PowerPoint or Project.
