What is the mission of the Administrator of Merchandising?

As an Admin II - Merchandising at The GIANT Company, your role is to provide crucial administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth operation of the merchandising team. By managing cost paperwork, maintaining databases, and validating vendor deals, you contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of our pricing and inventory systems. Your attention to detail ensures that our merchandising operations align with our goal of Connecting Families for a Better Future by delivering high-quality, affordable products to our customers.

What will you do as the Administrator of Merchandising?

  • Manage the accuracy of cost paperwork for the category team and ensure timely entry into the pricing system.
  • Input new data into assigned databases, reports, or documents and process any necessary changes.
  • Maintain logs of actions related to changes, ensuring data accuracy and correcting discrepancies as needed.
  • Conduct regular reviews of assigned databases and reports to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
  • Maintain department records and files, ensuring all documentation is up to date.
  • Assist with the validation of vendor-submitted deals to ensure accuracy and compliance.


What do we expect you to bring to the table?

  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or clerical role (experience in merchandising is a plus).
  • Proficiency in data management and documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure data accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.

What are the details?

  • Reporting: The Admin II Merchandising reports into the Category Manager.
  • Hybrid Remote: This position is based out of Carlisle, Pa. And will require 3 days a week in the office.
