Production Operator - Foam Extrusion Department Location: Pregis \| Plymouth, IN Schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM \| Rotating Weekends Full-Time \| Hourly \| Non-Exempt About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Production Operator to join our Foam Extrusion team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating production lines, ensuring product quality, minimizing waste, and supporting team members to meet manufacturing goals. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and teamwork are essential. Key Responsibilities Operate and set up production lines to meet or exceed production and quality standards. Assist with staging materials and supplies using powered industrial vehicles. Perform quality checks including length/weight, vacuum tests, and micrometer readings. Monitor machine operations and product specifications such as color, weight, slits, perforations, and dimensions. Maintain accurate production and quality documentation. Support minor maintenance tasks and uphold housekeeping standards. Ensure proper packaging of finished products. Adhere to all safety protocols and use required PPE. Collaborate with team members and assist in training when needed. Flexibly work across different production lines based on business needs. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required. Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills required. Ability to read a tape measure and document quality readings. Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred (or willingness to learn). Forklift and powered industrial vehicle experience preferred. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Safety-conscious and able to follow standardized work instructions. Work Environment Non-airconditioned indoor manufacturing setting. Exposure to heat (90F+), humidity (80%+), and noise (85dB+). Frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and reaching. Occasional stair/ladder climbing and repetitive motion. Schedule & Compensation 12-hour shifts on a rotating 2-week schedule. Includes 6-hour shifts on Wednesdays. Overtime may be required based on business demand. Why Join Us?
