This position is designated as a hybrid role based out of our headquarters near Portland, Oregon. The current expectation is for employees to work onsite four days per week, subject to change based on business needs. This in-office requirement may be adjusted at the discretion of the company.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Senior Buyer is responsible for driving sustainable growth for our footwear, accessories, and equipment. They build and manage strategic assortments to achieve financial key performance indicator goals. This role is responsible for all facets of buying, including the financial investments of each item, assortments by store, in-season price and inventory management, and the execution of product for their department(s). They also partner cross-functionally and influences the development of optimal assortments, top line financial plans, visual merchandising strategies, in store product execution and marketing.

HOWYOU'LLMAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Develop product assortments including style selection and product flow ensuring synergy with financial plans. Develops and presents assortments supporting overall strategy of in-stock positioning for key merchandise categories, balanced presentations, and accurate and timely receipt flow.

  • Implement and complete in-season business management including open-to-buy management, inventory management, and price strategies to increase sales and improve gross margin.

  • Drive cross-functional discussions with other teams regarding product needs and store execution.

  • Communicate, facilitate, and execute visual merchandising and marketing strategies to meet and exceed sales and margin goals.

  • Partner with Allocation team on product execution ensuring timely delivery and replenishment of all products throughout the season to maximize sales.

  • Partner with Planning team on future forecasts of sales trends, merchandise availability, and other changes in the business.

  • Keep project status reporting tool updated in real time.

YOU ARE

  • Well-versed in interpersonal communication.

  • Well-versed in time management.

  • Resourceful, resilient, and confident.

YOUHAVE

  • Bachelor's degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience.

  • 5-8 years of buying experience, retail merchandising, merchandise planning or allocation

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfortable using other Office Suite tools (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
