 8am-4:30pm
 
 The Behavioral Health Technician III (BHT) works in the Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospital (PHP) levels of care as a member of the treatment teams providing services to patients. Examples of services provided are activity and therapeutic groups; providing screening activities, education support for our child and adolescent population; conducting staff assisted exposure therapy, etc. The BHT III develops a resource database, coordinates discharge resources, arranges appointments and assists in facilitating treatment through communications with the treatment teams, other levels of care, and external agencies.
Job Duties & Responsibilities: 
 - Supports the clinical team in delivering the cognitive and other therapeutic services to program patients according to clinical standards of care and under the supervision of the clinical supervisor/director or designee.
 - Works in conjunction with the with the treatment teams to design and implement Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) specific behavioral intervention, ie Exposure Therapy.
 - Work with the clinical team to determine resources based on patient's access and needs to resources.
 - Work with the therapeutic and medical team to ensure patients have the appropriate discharge resources internally with step ups/downs or externally in the community.
 - Complete discharge documentation and Depart Plan, as required in coordination with the discharge of the patient.
 - Arrange for appointments with aftercare/outside care agencies in collaboration with the therapist or medical team.
 - Supports and leads patient (educations) groups, under the direction or in collaboration with the clinical team.
 - Conducts expressive group activities to enhance the patients overall experience at Rogers. ie arts and crafts, music, games, psychodrama, etc, in cooperation with the (experiential) therapist.
 - Supports arrival dismissal, lunch, and other transitional patient activities as needed, i.e., supervise children and adolescents during their lunchtime.
 - Performs admissions tasks to ease access to patient care, including front desk coverage.
 - Works with individual patients and implements treatment plans when providing coverage for Behavior Specialist and non-licensed duties of Therapist staff as needed
 - In coordination with the medical and clinical team collects/performs: medical testing, UDS, vitals, screening requirements, safety protocols, census management activities, etc.
 - Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings as requested.
 - Monitor dietary intake of the patients, as requested by the clinical team.
 - Provide structured, therapeutic milieu management in which a positive pattern of social, education, and personal behavior and coping skills is taught, reinforced, and enhanced.
 - Support/Influence behavior management plans/programs for all patients and follow through with implementing each program.
 - Complete educational assessments upon admission, informing schools of admission and collaborating with them on progress toward a transition back to school
 - Collects and documents patient progress in the treatment plan, as indicated, to contribute to the overall treatment plan of patients. This includes education goals and ongoing progress toward goals.
 - Acts as an NCI trainer.
 - Performs other duties as assigned within the education, license, experience and training.
 
 
Education/Training Requirements: 
 - Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, social work, or related field required. One to two years' experience in behavioral health or medical field preferred.
 - 2 years in case management or discharge planning required.
 - Formal training in the management of the aggressive patient (NCI) is required within sixty (60) days of date of hire. Annual re-certification is required.
 - American Red Cross Professional Rescue is required within thirty (30) days of date of hire. Bi-annual re-certification is required.
 - Attend all mandatory in-services and other in-services relevant to the position. Be responsible for all educational requirements and related obligations pertaining to the license of the program/unit license regulatory requirements governing the program(s).
 
 
Pay Transparency Requirements:  
Compensation for this role is between $27.50 - $36.96. This location is operated under a collective bargaining agreement which will determine placement in the wage scale - all new hires will be paid at a rate on the scale and placed at that step of the scale, while all internal hires' wages will align to their years of service.Drivers License - Cert
