Description A Brief Overview

Under the supervision of a licensed, certified audiologist, provides a continuum of Audiology services that include the identification, diagnosis, prevention, consultation and management/treatment of patients with hearing, communication or vestibular impairments. Participates in the implementation of the newborn hearing screening and assessment program at UHCMC.

What You Will Do

  • Patient evaluation, interpretation of findings and treatment plan (55%)
  • Management/treatment of hearing loss (25%)
  • Documentation of results and treatment plan (10%)
  • Equipment use, troubleshooting and maintenance (5%)
  • Projects as assigned (5%)

Additional Responsibilities

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
  • For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
