Please see our website for more information regarding Baker Commodities, Inc. www.bakercommodities.com Baker Commodities California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) for California Applicants Compensation and Benefits $18.85 per hour salary per year Paid medical, dental and vision coverage Paid holidays Paid vacation and sick time, Retirement plan available Duties and Responsibilities Maintain cooker temperatures Document cleaning, sanitation, and wash outs Mointor temperature charts and document operation changes Maintain Cooker oil levels Operate Skip Loader Load Dead Stock to be sent to Hanford Ensure equipment is operating properly (Presses, Grinder, Cookers screws & augers, Bird, Haggar, PreBreaker, Clarifier, etc...) Ensure product is going into the proper tanks and bins Ensure that finished material coming from the Plant meets quality requirements Must be familiar with basic boiler operation Must be familiar with the raw material off-loading procedures and communicate with drivers Must become knowledgeable of CMPAF (Cattle Material Prohibited in Animal Feed) and APPi (Animal Protein Producers Industry) Material Procedure and documentation Must be able to recognize potential hazards and contamination in the cooking operation Knowledge of safe work procedures including \"lock out tag out\" and \"confined space entry\" Cleaning of work area Interact with others in a professional and ethical manner Follow department and company procedures Keep up regular attendance and punctuality; regular attendance and punctuality are essential for the smooth operation of this company Other duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the business. These responsibilities may change from time to time are business needs evolve over time. Requirements Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Professional Certifications, Education, Experience and Travel Requirements high school diploma or equivalent Prior forklift experience preferred Previous experience in a production setting preferred Must be able to climb and not be afraid of heights Must be able to frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 60 pounds Less than 5% travel requirement Physical Demands/Requirements: Constantly (over 2/3): Move and transport materials up to 50-100 lbs with or without specialized lifting, moving and rigging equipment Moves across wet/slippery and uneven surfaces Must be able to position self to perform duties around industrial equipment and materials that are hot or hazardous chemical materials Frequently (1/3-2/3): Exposed to work in outdoor weather conditions Ascends/descends heights while maintaining balance Utilizes tools and equipment Remains in a seated position while using multilimb coordination to operate forklift or other mechanical equipment Occasionally (under 1/3): Detect and observe conditions that need to be addressed such as equipment that needs to be painted or materials that need to be moved/removed Electronically and manually completes logs/reports Communicates with staff in the process of performing duties About Baker Commodities, Inc.
