Summary Grad Nurse-Telemetry-3 South Full-Time, FTE .9, 36 hrs. I 3rd shift BHCOR-Cor 3 South I Corbin, KY Services provided for patients with medical and cardiac diagnoses, acute exacerbation of a cardiac condition. In addition, 3-South will provide care for peripheral vascular interventions (radial or femoral) and cardiac catheterization patient PCI via radial and femoral approach Under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Graduate Nurse strives for excellence in the performance of care requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills. Centered on the patient as a whole person - body, mind, and spirit - applies principles of psychological, biological, physical, and social sciences. Applies nursing process and acquired nursing skills to design and ensure multidisciplinary and culturally appropriate patient care in keeping with a focus on healing and wellness. Incorporates established practice guidelines and regulatory standards, concurrently evaluating opportunities to improve patient's outcomes. The Graduate Nurse may not perform independently: all functions/actions must be performed under direction of a Registered Nurse. Job Description: Grad Nurse-Telemetry-3 South-Full-Time Assessment of patients' needs. Development of patient care plan/s Provision of direct care. Management of patient care delivery. Demonstrate leadership skills. Support for quality care. Customer relations and healing environment. On call requirement weekends/holidays picked by rotation. Operating Room Nurses provide care and support to patients before, during and after surgery. Clinical decision-making incorporates all four phases of the nursing process, critical thinking and creativity. Mustbe under the supervision of Licensed RN Requirements Registered Nurse: Current Graduate Nurse Provisional licensurein state of KY Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university. Basic Life Support Required. New employees requiring CPR-Basic Life Support (BLS)-American Heart Association should receive (CPR) training within the first week of orientation. Glucometer Training ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.
