As a Security Guard - Retail Center Patrol - Full Time in Baldwin Park, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a retail location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout the premises. Your visible presence and proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. You will interact with the public, respond to various situations with professionalism, and provide outstanding customer service while maintaining detailed records. This is a primarily driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the property by vehicle as well as on foot. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing conflict resolution skills as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel and/or law enforcement as required.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits and verifying credentials as needed.
• Support loss prevention efforts by being visible and attentive during patrols and while stationed in key areas of the retail environment.
• Provide information and assistance to employees, customers, and visitors to enhance their experience at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid driver's license meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements is preferred for primarily driving posts.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
