Job Description Assists in performing investigative research under the mentorship in a particular area(s) of study. Publishes and presents data in a timely manner. Works collaboratively with other investigators to facilitate their scientific research and training. Participates in various types of institute and community activities. Job Responsibility
- Performs research projects as directed; follows and adheres to experimental protocols in a proficient and meticulous manner.
- Responsible for the collection, analysis and interpretation of research data related to specific project.
- Submits manuscripts and abstracts for publication to peer review journals and presentations at local, national and international conferences.
- Performs a variety of tasks, including but not limited to, correspondence, attending meetings, database maintenance, maintaining records, charts, etc.
- Responsible for all other activities, clinical and administrative, as needed.
- Provides technical direction to research staff.
- Operates with direct guidance and work assignments are generally straightforward and of moderate complexity.

Job Qualification
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Philosophy required.
- 0-1 years of relevant experience, required.
- Candidate must be enrolled in or has completed a residency (graduate medical education program) in any specialty, highly preferred
- Candidate should be a Doctor of Medicine, Dentistry or Podiatry, highly preferred
- Candidate should be a graduate of a medical (MD or DO), dental or podiatric school located in New York State, a graduate or resident in a graduate medical education program, where the sponsoring institution is in New York State, or resides in New York State as of July 11th, 2024, highly preferred
- 1 or more years of relevant experience, highly preferred
- Applicant must demonstrate a clear enthusiasm for clinical or basic research, preferred
- Internship/residency training in any of the following: internal medicine, spinal cord injury medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurology, surgery, neurosurgery, trauma surgery, or related, preferred
- Skilled in the following areas: organization, time management, written and oral communication, ability to work independently, ability to interact with members of a multidisciplinary professional team, preferred
- The Clinical Research Fellow will conduct research related to spinal cord injury (SCI), physical medicine and rehabilitation.
