Position Summary The Senior Warehouse Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of warehouse activities. This position is responsible for maintaining optimal warehouse organization, overseeing inventory management systems, and ensuring accurate and timely receiving, picking, packing, and inventory analysis processes. Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized warehouse layout to support efficient material flow and storage. Inventory Management Systems: Operate and optimize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels, locations, and movements. Ensure data accuracy and system integrity. Receiving Operations: Oversee the receiving process, including inspection, documentation, and proper storage of incoming goods. Coordinate with procurement and quality teams as needed. Inventory Analysis: Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits. Analyze discrepancies and implement corrective actions to maintain inventory accuracy. Picking and Packing: Supervise and participate in order picking and packing operations to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Process Improvement: Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency, reduce waste, and improve service levels. Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including logistics, production, and quality assurance to support operational goals.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred. 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a senior or lead role. Proficiency in warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and operate warehouse equipment safely.
