| Apply Description Function: Reporting to the Radiology Supervisor, the Radiology/Mammography Technologist will perform all digital x-ray and mammography examinations as assigned. This individual will have the working knowledge of all facets of digital x-ray and mammography. Representative Duties: Performs X-rays and screening mammogram studies as assigned 
  Greet each client with a smile and welcoming, professional mannerCalls patients from the lobby into the exam roomUnderstands and maintains universal precautions in all clinical activities Ensures readiness of assigned unit for patient encounters 
  Disinfects exam rooms daily and after contamination of communicable disease exposure with appropriate cleaning agent, or insures that this is done Stocks exam rooms with supplies and equipment Maintains equipment in good working order Alerts Radiology Supervisor of broken equipmentAlerts Radiology Supervisor when stock inventory is low  Effectively communicates with patients, coworkers on medical team, in medical department and across departments 
  Confirms demographic information before conducting exam or scan; accurately record and enter any changes receivedAbides by recognized ALARA & HIPAA requirementsDemonstrates a commitment to customer servicesAssists in training other employees in the medical support departmentRemains familiar with emergency procedures and codesReceives and places necessary telephone calls consistent with professional matters and clinic business Reads and maintains departmental policies and procedures Provides clerical support and administrative assistance as directed
