Purpose of the Role

The Quality Control Inspector II at Worley is responsible for inspecting materials and workmanship to ensure they conform to specifications and code requirements. This role is crucial in maintaining the high standards of quality and safety that our projects demand, particularly as we transition towards more sustainable energy sources. The individual in this role will utilize their substantial experience or education to make independent judgments and contribute to our goal of delivering sustainable change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed inspections of materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory codes.
  • Exercise independent judgment in selecting and organizing work methods and procedures, making routine modifications as necessary.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to less experienced inspectors and team members, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and reports to communicate inspection findings and recommendations to stakeholders and management.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement quality control plans and procedures that support project objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize systems, processes, and tools effectively to meet project requirements and deadlines.
  • Ensure all work is performed accurately and within the time constraints required for each assignment.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for improvement in inspection techniques and quality control procedures.

  • Technical school graduate with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Substantial previous experience or education as a technician or craftsman

  • Strong ability to make independent judgments and decisions regarding work methods and procedures.

  • Proficiency in preparing and delivering proposals, presentations, and reports on complex matters.

  • Intermediate understanding of systems, processes, and tools relevant to the role.

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of informing and persuading stakeholders and team members.

  • Ability to work under direct supervision while managing overall requirements and priorities.

  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and completeness in work.

  • Familiarity with regulatory codes and standards applicable to materials and workmanship inspection.
