What We're Looking For:
Iridium is seeking a Warehouse Associate II to join our Product Services and Customer Support team. As a Warehouse Associate II, you will be part of a team that prepares orders for people relying on Iridium service. In this role, you will be tasked primarily with supporting the inventory processes and tools for receiving and performing cycle counts in an 18,000 square foot warehouse facility with storage capacity of approximately 800 pallets. If you have experience reviewing bills of lading, shipping, WMS systems, and verifying documentation for completeness with a high attention to detail, we'd like to talk to you.
What You'll Do:
Adhere to established procedures in order to complete routine tasks, while determining when to use other methods as needed
- Compare subscriber equipment and RMAs received to PO and packing list
- Check the condition of goods when they arrive and make note of any damage
- Ensure all inventory items are received and stored appropriately
- Assist in the daily cycle count of finished goods to confirm physical inventory matches inventory records
- Complete kitting, upgrades, or repackaging of equipment housed in event of manufacturer issues
- Operate equipment according to company safety standards to assist in moving inventory
- Support in the distribution daily activities of receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping of subscriber inventory, as well as government owned equipment
- Track, order and regularly update the logistics database and support license renewals
- Develop working knowledge of Logistics Analyst duties to provide back-up support and ensure seamless warehouse operations
- Track and report monthly movements of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) for inclusion in status reports
- Support GFE audits, as directed by the Government team's Program Management Office
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of relevant experience working in a warehouse performing materials control
- PC skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Organized thought process with high attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate results
- Effective prioritization to meet scheduled deadlines
- Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with your team members and be comfortable asking for guidance when necessary
- Must be a good listener who can take instruction on a new task and complete it with almost no errors
- Be skilled at time management and organization and be diligent in your work
- Come ready to work with a positive mindset and a motivation to continuously improve your skills and abilities
Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table:
- 1-2 years of experience with shipping/receiving software and warehouse managements systems
- Knowledge of 5s Management
- APICS certification
- Knowledge of SharePoint and/or Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains CRM
We'll also need you to:
- Some travel ~5%
- Ability to obtain a company provided forklift certification
- A current Dangerous Goods certification is preferred
- This position directly performs under, supports, or is exposed to a U.S. government contract. To comply with the requirements of that U.S. government contract, applicants for this position must be U.S. citizen
- NOTE: This is primarily an onsite role (expected 4-5 days/week), with occasional opportunity for remote work (typically 1 day/week or during exceptional circumstances)
Work Environment:
This position works in both office and warehouse environments. The role requires extended periods of computer work, including sitting and using standard office equipment such as a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.
Physical Requirements:
This position also involves regular physical activity, with the following physical requirements:
- Standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and stretching
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 25-50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Duties may also include climbing ladders or using step stools to access high shelving, handling small parts or tools requiring manual dexterity, and operating warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks, or forklifts) if certified or required
- Work may also involve variations in temperature, noise, and dust
