Purpose of the Role

The Senior Procurement Contract Specialist plays a critical role in supporting Worley's commitment to delivering sustainable change. This position ensures the effective administration of subcontracts and supplier agreements that align with project objectives, company standards, and customer needs. By leveraging advanced expertise in procurement and contract management, this role contributes to the success of complex projects across energy, chemicals, and resources, while supporting Worley's ambition to be a global leader in sustainability solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the full cycle of subcontracting activities, including identification, solicitation, selection, and negotiation with reliable contractors for consulting, specialty, and construction services.

  • Prepare, review, and administer contracts to ensure alignment with Worley's policies, project goals, and sustainability objectives.

  • Monitor contractor performance, ensuring services are delivered to the agreed scope, quality, budget, and schedule.

  • Provide oversight and approvals for contractor invoices, maintaining accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with project execution, supporting both near-term requirements and long-term sustainability objectives.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor on procurement and contract matters, influencing stakeholders and providing expert guidance on complex contractual issues.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by applying advanced knowledge of systems, processes, and tools to optimize procurement practices and mitigate risks.

  • Contribute to a culture of safety, integrity, and sustainability in all procurement and contract management activities.ct management activities.

Qualifications / Skill Set
  • University degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Extensive experience in procurement and subcontracting within the environmental, engineering, or construction industries, with a proven ability to negotiate effectively.

  • Advanced knowledge and expertise in contract administration, supplier relationship management, and project procurement practices.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead functional project teams, with experience supervising or guiding colleagues and fostering collaboration.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and reports that influence stakeholders and management.

  • Skilled in applying procurement systems, processes, and tools, with the ability to troubleshoot and support others in their effective use.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage complex matters that impact project outcomes.

  • Commitment to continuous improvement, sustainable practices, and alignment with Worley's purpose of delivering a more sustainable world.
