Purpose of the Role
The Site Testing Manager plays a critical role in Worley's mission to deliver a more sustainable world by ensuring that construction and site testing activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with contractual, financial, and sustainability objectives. This position is responsible for managing project execution, including the planning and coordination of site-based testing activities such as hydrostatic, pneumatic, and system verification tests. By leading project teams and overseeing all phases of construction and testing, this role ensures quality, compliance, and safe delivery of projects that help bridge the transition to sustainable energy while meeting society's current energy and resource needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and direction for construction and site testing activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.

  • Develop and define project goals, objectives, and testing strategies in alignment with customer requirements and Worley's sustainability objectives.

  • Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and resource allocation activities with specific focus on integrating site testing milestones into overall project plans.

  • Manage site testing activities including hydrostatic testing, pneumatic testing, pressure testing, and verification of piping systems, ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, and regulatory requirements.

  • Coordinate with construction teams, quality assurance, and commissioning teams to prepare test packages, review results, and resolve any discrepancies before project handover.

  • Provide direct technical guidance and mentorship to site personnel conducting testing activities to ensure adherence to procedures and safe work practices.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, inspectors, and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment and transparency on testing and project objectives.

  • Monitor performance of construction and testing teams, proactively identify risks or issues, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain schedule and cost control.

  • Prepare and deliver detailed reports, test documentation, proposals, and presentations to stakeholders and senior leadership, communicating progress, compliance status, and recommendations.

  • Ensure that all testing and construction activities are performed in accordance with Worley's policies, procedures, and sustainability commitments, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence

Qualifications / Skillset

  • University degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Proven experience in construction project management and site testing management, including testing of piping systems, hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing, and system commissioning.

  • Deep understanding of industry codes, standards, and procedures for mechanical completion, piping integrity, and quality assurance.

  • Strong project management skills, including contract administration, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.

  • Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions with significant financial, environmental, and operational impact.

  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams, assign work, provide technical direction, and manage performance for project staff and testing personnel.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to inform, persuade, and build consensus across teams and with external stakeholders.

  • High level of problem-solving capability, with the ability to resolve technical issues and testing challenges using sound judgment.

  • Proficient in construction and testing-related systems, processes, and tools, with ability to troubleshoot and train others.

  • Strong commitment to safety, sustainability, and quality in all phases of project execution, particularly in piping system integrity and readiness for commissioning.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize critical project deliverables, and maintain focus under changing project conditions.
