Specifically, this position is in Corporate Payments and works very closely with our Commercial Tech domain, which builds bespoke software solutions for our customers, and is on a team providing Joint Development Funds, where we work very closely with our partners to build them the features they need on our flagship Corporate Payments application to meet the needs of their customers. We are looking for an experienced and versatile technical business analyst to work on our FI Partner Manager team with Commercial Tech. In this role, your duties will be to apply technical and business expertise as part of a software development team providing world class solutions for WEX customers. Specifically, you will be working with a development team that works closely with external partners on joint development projects based around our flagship Corporate Payments product Encompass. Our Joint Development relationships allow resellers of our products to get customization and features built that are essential to their customers and are not part of our standard offering. Experience you will bring: To ensure success as a technical business analyst, you should demonstrate experience and creativity in business solutions development and application design. Outstanding technical business analysts combine their IT expertise with in-depth business knowledge. Technical Business Analyst Responsibilities: * Providing in-depth feature definitions using AGILE principles for developers to follow. * Determining and defining dependencies on other teams/functions within WEX for feature development. * Analyzing and reporting on system efficiency and functionality by liaising with internal departments and end-users. * Reporting to Management and obtaining approval for system development projects. * Analyzing and improving the performance of web-based customer portals, APIs, and support services. * Promoting system efficiency and security by integrating performance metrics and encryption into features. * Promote system stability and quality assurance by integrating testing automation into feature development. * Seeking out and recommending new advancements in the field of system and enterprise architecture in conjunction with the WEX Enterprise Architecture and Modernization teams. * You may also be required to provide training and consulting services relating to features built by your team. Technical Business Analyst Requirements: * A bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology, and an accredited qualification in management consultancy, or similar. * At least five + years experience as a Technical Business Analyst * Ability to work with external and internal partners to develop requirements. * Extensive experience in technical business analysis in a related industry (e.g. Payments, banking, healthcare, travel). * Advanced knowledge of programming languages like SQL and system integration solutions. * Ability to facilitate internal end-user proficiency. * Ability to design and maintain efficient customer portal support and feedback channels. * Advanced knowledge of data security and encryption. * Ability to keep up with IT advancements. * Ability to express business problems into technical requirements.
The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
