As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Suffolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a busy logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter potential security-related incidents, and providing excellent customer service to all personnel and visitors. You will monitor access points, interact with staff and guests, and respond promptly to any security-related concerns or requests for assistance. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the logistics and distribution location, including the business interior and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for any suspicious activity or potential hazards during patrols and report findings according to site protocols.
• Support access control procedures by observing entry and exit points as directed.
• Document and communicate incidents, observations, and actions taken during patrols to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or site management.
• Assist with emergency response activities as directed by site protocols or Allied Universal leadership.

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
