Your work will involve everything from monitoring traffic flow to responding to incidents, making you an essential part of our operations. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Security Officer 1, your primary responsibility will be to ensure for the safety and security of the Farm Show Complex and Expo Center and for those who visit the facility. You will be required to conduct daily patrols both inside and outside the premises, as well as direct traffic, collect parking fees, greet and assist visitors, and patrol the Complex and parking areas during the busy show season. This role demands a high level of professionalism, excellent customer service skills, conflict resolution abilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. It is crucial to adhere to safety and security policies and procedures, handle difficult situations, and assert prompt and effective decisions. Effective communication with leadership, coworkers, clients, and visitors is essential, and a timely response to emergency situations is of utmost importance. Interested in learning more? - Temporary, full-time employment, without benefits.
- Shifts available:
- Wednesday - Sunday, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM (July - March)
- Saturday - Wednesday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM (September - May)
- This position is considered essential and as such is required to report to working during emergencies and office closings.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle operator's license.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Experience working in crowds and around animals.
Legal Requirements:
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
