Job Title: Chief Financial Officer / Chief Operating Officer (CFO/COO) Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Position Overview: The CFO/COO is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for managing the financial strategy, operational infrastructure, and administrative functions of the bank. This role ensures the soundness of the bank's financial condition while optimizing operational efficiency, compliance, and customer service delivery. The ideal candidate brings a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with deep experience in community banking. Key Responsibilities: Financial Leadership: Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. Manage all accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls. Oversee asset/liability management and liquidity planning. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and regulatory standards. Oversee all aspects of CECL (Current Expected Credit Loss) model governance and performance. Ensure regulatory compliance with FDIC, Federal Reserve, and state banking requirements. Maintain relationships with external auditors, regulators, and financial institutions. Provide financial insight and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. Operational Oversight: Supervise day-to-day banking operations, including deposit operations, loan servicing, IT, and facilities. Oversee the evaluation of technology solutions to improve service delivery and operational efficiency. Lead vendor management, contract negotiations, and purchasing processes. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational benchmarks. Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans. Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the CEO and Board to execute strategic initiatives. Drive operational alignment with the bank's mission, vision, and growth goals. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and service excellence. Mentor and develop department managers and staff across functions. Identify growth opportunities for NGB. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred). 10+ years of progressive experience in financial and operational leadership, preferably in a banking or financial services environment. Deep knowledge of regulatory reporting, risk management, and bank operations. Proven experience with core banking systems and financial technology platforms. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strategic mindset with the ability to execute tactically.
