JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Systems Analyst is responsible for all aspects of systems analysis, including development of new systems and maintaining/modifying existing ones. This is a leadership position that assists the Lead Systems Analyst in the team mentoring process. Project responsibilities include: requirements gathering and conceptual design creation, and supporting development, testing, and implementation. Maintenance responsibilities include: troubleshooting existing systems, issue resolution management, and fielding/responding to technical questions from business representatives.
JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Work with business users and/or business analysts to understand the requirements and translate them to System Requirements. They are technical writers that act as the main liaison with IT, understanding the technology and communicate how systems need to change to support the business requests. 2. Identify where system changes need to be made and perform impact analysis to determine the effect of the change on downstream systems. They will also at times lead a team of System Analysts and/or Developers in conducting this exercise on larger cross system enhancement efforts. Must demonstrate the proficiency to comprehend MPI's system architecture and how each system interfaces with others. 3. Formulate, define and document a detailed conceptual design for a project. Analyze and revise existing Systems Analysis artifacts. 4. Support architects, developers, SQA, and UAT teams throughout the software development life cycle. 5. Act as a Subject Matter Expert and point of contact for our respective internal customers such as Application Support and Production Support teams. Help solve problems and issues with existing systems through research of these systems, code reviews, data analysis, etc. 6. Act as the front line of support from an analysis perspective for the warranty period of the project. 7. Will assist Lead in training new and current team members. 8. Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments. 9. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements. 10. Demonstrate commitment to the Company's core values. 11. JOB SCOPE: The incumbent works with minimum supervision to accomplish the job responsibilities. The candidate possesses and applies a broad range of knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of the field. They work independently or as part of a larger team to improve the relationship between business and technical teams. The incumbent acts as one of the main liaisons with IT by assisting the business units to communicate their requirements to IT and is expected to be the Subject Matter Expert for systems in his/her domain area and act as a resource to other Systems Analysts.
