Our powder operations are at the forefront of additive manufacturing, advanced powder processing, and next-gen alloy systems. As a Powder Engineering Intern, you'll work with cutting-edge equipment and processes to advance powder flow, quality, and process capability-from atomization to AM print trials. Whether your passion lies in precision flow dynamics, AM materials testing, or scale-up for large-volume powder production, you'll find real engineering challenges here with impact that lasts beyond summer. What You'll Work On You may be assigned to one of the following technical focus areas: Ni Powder & Process Optimization
- Study how key process equipment impact powder production.
- Analyze the effect of powder flow characteristics and stability.
- Work in the Additive Manufacturing (AM) lab to develop 3D print parameters for new or experimental powder alloys.
- Support process improvement initiatives for powder atomization systems
- Evaluate and recommend equipment solutions for scaling up large-volume powder manufacturing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a B.S. in:
- Materials Science & Engineering
- Metallurgical Engineering
- Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- GPA of 3.0+ preferred
- Strong interest in powder metallurgy, AM, or vacuum/thermal processing
- Hands-on lab or manufacturing experience a plus
- Familiarity with CAD, Excel, or data analysis tools is beneficial
