- Leadership & Management
- Direct, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians, planners, and supervisors.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and FDA requirements.
- Manage contractors for specialized maintenance activities.
- Maintenance & Reliability
- Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures, ensuring minimal impact on production.
- Oversee maintenance of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and utility systems.
- Monitor KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, downtime, maintenance cost, backlog, etc.) to drive reliability improvements.
- Planning & Execution
- Ensure work orders are properly prioritized, planned, and scheduled.
- Maintain CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for accurate tracking of assets and work history.
- Manage spare parts inventory
- Coordinate with procurement to control costs.
- Manage the maintenance pass down communication system.
- Review of all Purchase Orders to ensure completion for reporting accuracy
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with PSM, GMP, FDA (if applicable), and other regulatory requirements.
- Support audits and inspections by regulatory agencies.
- Maintain proper documentation of maintenance procedures and safety checks.
- Continuous Improvement
- Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions for recurring equipment failures.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance equipment reliability and reduce costs.
- Support capital projects and plant upgrades from a maintenance and reliability perspective.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering (preferred) or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of maintenance experience in chemical, petrochemical, or manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
- Experience with CMMS, reliability engineering tools, and maintenance best practices.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations, PSM requirements, and environmental compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong project management and budgeting experience.
