Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

Assist supervisors with the achievement of daily requirements, oversee, troubleshoot, and communicate issues to supervisors as well as train and assist team members as needed.

Anticipated Pay Range: $28-$32 per hour. *Pay rates within this range are determined based on various factors including experience, education, certifications, etc.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Creates work schedules and maintain T&A responsibilities
  • Completes Leader Standard Work as defined by Supervisor/Manager
  • Ensures that productivity standards are achieved while maintaining quality standards.
  • Participate in performance appraisal process of hourly employees and assist with corrective actions process
  • Proactively identify and introduce new concepts to improve quality and cost.
  • Identify and communicate operational, EHS, Quality and employee concerns to Supervisor/Manager.

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Expected to assist in the implementation of Howmet Aerospace's EHS value and policy statement and its accompanying principles.
  • Comply with all department, facility, Corporate and Regulatory EH&S regulations.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment.
  • Report all job-related illness and injuries. (Per employee handbook);
  • Report all Safety, Health & Environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Attend all EH&S training
  • Communicate with customer and internal BSC communication as required.
  • Train employees as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder').
  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Candidates residing within a 50 miles radius of Dover NJ will only be considered.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be self-starting and results oriented.
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior supervisory experience and strong knowledge of department operational and working procedures.

Shop floor experience as an hourly worker.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/EQUIPMENT USED

This job requires occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds and frequent standing

The group leader works in a shop floor environment.
