As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will be the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors, creating a welcoming and secure environment. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and providing exceptional customer service. You will help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible presence and responding promptly to inquiries and situations that arise. Pay Rate: $16.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the front desk.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying identification and granting entry to authorized individuals.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Assist with visitor management, including signing in guests and providing directions or information as needed.
• Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or behavior.
• Communicate professionally with staff, students, and visitors, addressing inquiries and escalating concerns as appropriate to Allied Universal management or site contacts.
• Document and report security-related incidents, unusual observations, and/or emergencies according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
