Job Description

Brightspeed is looking for a Senior Manager, Network Operations to join our team!As the Senior Manager of Network Operations, you will oversee multiple teams, including Network Operations Manager and a specialized group of engineers responsible for provisioning transport circuits, performing transport card additions, and configuring alarming for network devices. You will ensure operational excellence across broadband, Ethernet, and transport networks by managing lifecycle activities, capacity planning, and strategic initiatives. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to drive process improvements across a large, complex operational environment.

As a Senior Manager, Network Operations your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and mentoring Network Operations Manager and engineering team to ensure timely and accurate service delivery
  • Overseeing activation, augmentation, and maintenance of broadband, Ethernet, and transport networks
  • Managingprovisioning of transport circuits, transport card installations, and alarming configurations for network devices
  • Developingand implementing operational strategies to improve network performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Establishing KPIs, scorecards, and analytics to monitor team and organizational performance
  • Partnering with engineering, planning, and leadership teams to support new technology deployments and modernization initiatives
  • Understanding and explaining complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Conducting regular leadership meetings, performance reviews, and career development sessions
  • Drivingprocess automation and efficiency improvements across all operational functions
  • Preparingand presenting operational reports to senior leadership
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Occasional travel required to meet with employees and leadership.
      Qualifications

      WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

      • Hold a bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Networking, or related field (or equivalent experience)
      • 15+ years of experience in network operations, including at least 10 years in a management role
      • Strong technical knowledge of broadband, Ethernet, and transport technologies
      • Proven ability to lead large teams and manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment
      • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

      BONUS POINTS FOR:

      • Project management experience in telecommunications
      • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools
      • Familiarity with vendor platforms such as Nokia, Cisco, Juniper
      • Project management certification (PMP or equivalent)
