Production Supervisor - Second Shift


Location: Chaska, MN (On-Site Mon-Friday)

Shift: 2nd Shift

Pay Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year + Shift Differential


About the Role

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to lead our second shift assembly and test operations for high-performance control actuation systems used in the aerospace industry. In this role, you will guide a team of technicians, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and drive the efficient execution of daily production activities. You will also work closely with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to maintain schedules, resolve issues, and support the transition of products from development to production.


Key Responsibilities


  • Supervise second shift production activities, ensuring safety, quality, and delivery goals are achieved.
  • Assign work, monitor progress, and provide coaching and feedback to technicians.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, assembly drawings, and parts lists to support execution.
  • Review test data sheets, assist with basic failure analysis, and escalate complex issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment with adherence to PPE, ESD, and FOD controls.
  • Monitor equipment and tooling needs; coordinate repairs or replacements as required.
  • Report progress, risks, and exceptions to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Champion Lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and strengthen quality.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.



Additional Duties


  • Train and mentor team members to strengthen technical skills and adherence to standards.
  • Participate in meetings, improvement projects, and company initiatives.
  • Provide input on employee performance and development.
  • Support audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
  • Perform special assignments or related duties as required.



Qualifications


  • 2-3 years of supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing/production environment (aerospace/defense preferred).
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with electronic/electromechanical assembly and testing.
  • Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic PC skills.



Work Environment


  • Frequent exposure to a manufacturing environment (fluids, fumes, mechanical parts, and noise).
  • PPE required: safety glasses, hearing protection, foot protection, gloves, etc.
  • Standing, walking, stooping, and bending for extended periods required.
  • Ability to lift, push, or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Full-time role, Monday-Friday, Second Shift (overtime and weekends as needed).
  • Minimal travel (<5%).

Pay Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
