Database Engineer

Location: Washington, DC - Remote

Clearance Requirement: U.S. Citizen (eligible for Public Trust clearance)

Salary Range: $130,000 - $140,000

We are seeking a Database Engineer to join our team in support of a federal client. This role is 100% remote, with occasional on-site attendance if specifically requested by the customer. You'll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of enterprise databases that support mission-critical operations.

  Manage and maintain enterprise databases and supporting infrastructure in a 24x7 environment.

  Plan and execute database migration and upgrade initiatives.

  Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues to ensure availability and performance.

  Document current and new database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting best practices.

  Monitor and analyze performance metrics, optimize SQL queries, and adjust indexes to resolve performance issues.

  Ensure all databases are maintained in compliance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).

  
  
• 
  

  Minimum 4 years of experience in database engineering or administration.

  Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently or under general direction.

  Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to explain technical issues to non-technical users.

  U.S. Citizen, eligible for a Public Trust clearance.
