Job Overview: Seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technician or Machinist.
Responsibilities: * Operate saws, drills, routers, and other fabrication equipment for PVC pipe cutting, drilling, and assembly. * Assemble components by hand and using semi-automatic or automatic equipment including CNC and plastic injection molding machines. * Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and work orders to complete assigned tasks. * Measure, cut, fit, and assemble PVC & CPVC components according to specifications. * Loading and unloading shipments for the factory and production facility * Perform machine setups and routine maintenance on fabrication tools and equipment. * Conduct quality inspections on finished products to ensure compliance with company standards. * Maintain accurate production records and report material usage or issues to supervisors. * Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area. * Collaborate with other team members to meet production schedules and deadlines. * Assist with inventory and purchasing. * Pick and pack when required for parts orders.
Requirements: * High School Diploma or GED * 1+ year experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly environment
Core Competencies: * The ability to read drawings and use a computer. * Strong time management skills. * Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. * Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and machine operation. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. * Good communication and teamwork skills. * Willingness to learn and adapt to changing production needs.
Preferences: * Experience in pipe fabrication, plumbing, or plastics manufacturing. * Familiarity with PVC solvent welding and mechanical fittings. * Forklift operation certification.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements: This position will be based at our site in Poughkeepsie, NY no travel.
Pay Range: Starting Pay will range between $19.00 - $22.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time, hourly position.
