The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Executive Director of CUIMC Operations, the Operations Manager oversees daily campus security operations, supervises staff, manages scheduling and compliance, ensures proper staffing and equipment, and supports special events and programs to maintain safety and efficiency across CUIMC.

Responsibilities



  • Oversee day-to-day operational functions and manage the responsibilities of three Officers by setting job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising results.
  • Develop, maintain, and ensure accuracy of management data for the CUIMC campus.
  • Create training and vacation schedules to support staff development and operational needs.
  • Process routine reports efficiently, including maintaining disciplinary logs and self-inspection programs.
  • Administer sick leave and tardiness monitoring programs by validating absences, conducting attendance control interviews, counseling employees, and applying discipline when necessary.
  • Ensure all CUIMC campus locations are properly staffed and that security officer posts are equipped with functional systems, equipment, and furniture.
  • Lead the Lost and Found Program and manage the shift bidding process for union members.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards for supervisors.
  • Review and approve vacation selections for Lieutenants and NUSS employees on the CUIMC campus.
  • Prepare annual evaluations for Lieutenants and oversee evaluations for probationary Officers and Supervisors.
  • Collaborate with the Manager, Admin and Planning to maintain the CUIMC Campus Fleet.
  • Partner with the Executive Director, Special Events to arrange Guard Services, Fire Services, and other special requests.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and administrative skills are required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Must be able to handle confidential information with exceptional judgment and discretion.
  • Must effectively interact with university administration, faculty, students, and the general public.
  • Must be flexible yet thorough and possess the demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including high proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required.
  • Proven ability to work in a client-service environment required.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Public Safety and supervisory experience is highly desirable.
