Program Director, Defense Sustainment Integration

Location: Huntsville, Alabama

The Program Director, Defense Sustainment Integration owns the strategic direction and end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-million-dollar SaaS implementations for Exiger's largest enterprise Department of Defense and Department of War Service customers. This role provides leadership across cross-functional teams and is accountable for the timely execution of program roadmaps, mitigation of critical risks, and ultimate success of all customer engagements. Serving as a trusted advisor to senior customer leadership, this individual ensures strategic objectives are achieved through the effective deployment of the Exiger platform.

Key Responsibilities



  • Lead strategic planning, execution, and delivery of enterprise-level SCRM (Supply Chain Risk Management) and parts SaaS solutions.
  • Act as primary customer-facing senior leader, aligning Exiger's delivery with customer objectives.
  • Oversee cross-functional program teams, ensuring accountability, communication, and collaboration across product, engineering, operations, and customer success.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks to ensure customer satisfaction and business continuity.
  • Develop and maintain program roadmaps, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met on time and within budget.
  • Establish and maintain governance structures, reporting, and performance metrics for large-scale programs.
  • Serve as escalation point for customer leadership and internal stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying best practices and process enhancements for future engagements.
  • Periodically provides program updates that include milestones achieved, metrics, and customer value realization.


  • Deliver transformation projects by leading organizational change, integrating new technologies, modernizing legacy processes, and ensuring seamless adoption across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Shape transformation roadmaps that align with both Exiger's platform capabilities and customer modernization objectives, balancing innovation with mission assurance.
  • Guide cross-functional technical and business teams to implement scalable solutions that improve operational efficiency, risk visibility, and mission outcomes.



Required Qualifications



  • 10+ years of program or portfolio management experience in SaaS or DaaS, enterprise software, or supply chain technology.
  • Knowledge of Department of Defense and Department of War acquisition and sustainment policy and processes including weapon system lifecycle management.
  • Proven track record leading multi-million-dollar, global enterprise implementations.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain risk management concepts and solutions.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with experience guiding cross-functional, distributed teams.
  • Strong business acumen with ability to influence senior customer stakeholders and internal executives.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Bias toward action and will execute with minimal guidance to meet customer needs and accomplish company strategic objectives.
  • PMP, PgMP, or similar program management certification preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and retain a US Government security clearance.

  • Knowledge of software system integration, data architecture, and data structures, with the ability to oversee technical solution design.
  • Ability to bridge business objectives with technical execution, ensuring alignment between engineering, product, and client outcomes.
