Description

The Department of Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning at Tufts University is searching for a part-time lecturer to teach a graduate-level section of UEP 251 Economics for Policy and Planning in Spring 2026. In-person teaching is required.


This required core course provides a survey of microeconomics for non-major graduate students, with a focus on real-world applications relevant to policy and planning, including case studies. The overall goal of this course is for students to become educated consumers of economic information, and the application of economics to the world of policy and planning. Past syllabi are available for review upon request.


Qualifications

Candidates should have a PhD in economics or a closely related field. Those with real-world practice and policy experience in economics are preferred, as well as past teaching at the college-level.
