Worley is a global professional services company of energy, chemicals and resources experts. We partner with customers to deliver projects and create value over the life of their assets. We're bridging two worlds, moving towards more sustainable energy sources, while helping to provide the energy, chemicals and resources needed now.

Purpose of the Role:
The Mechanical Work Face Planner plays a critical role in supporting Worley's mission to deliver sustainable change by ensuring that mechanical work packages are planned, coordinated, and ready for safe and efficient execution. This role is responsible for developing detailed plans and schedules that enable field teams to complete mechanical construction tasks on time, within budget, and in alignment with customer objectives and Worley's commitment to sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain mechanical work packages that clearly define scope, materials, resources, and sequence of activities.

  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure all prerequisites are met for work execution.

  • Verify that drawings, materials, permits, and tools are available before work is released to the field.

  • Monitor progress of mechanical work activities, adjusting plans as required to maintain schedule and support project milestones.

  • Coordinate with supervisors and field crews to resolve planning issues and remove constraints that could delay execution.

  • Ensure that all planning activities are aligned with safety, quality, and environmental standards, reinforcing Worley's commitment to sustainable and responsible project delivery.

  • Support continuous improvement by recommending enhancements to work packaging processes, tools, and systems.

  • Provide guidance to less experienced team members in understanding and applying work face planning principles.

Qualifications / Skillset:

  • University degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent trade qualification with additional relevant training and experience.

  • Proven experience in mechanical work face planning, construction planning, or field engineering within the energy, chemicals, or resources sectors.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical construction processes, systems, and sequencing.

  • Proficiency with planning tools and systems used to create and track work packages.

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.

  • Skilled communicator able to work collaboratively with engineering, procurement, and field construction teams.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and remove execution barriers.

  • Commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability as core elements of project planning and execution.
