McGraw Hill Higher Education is seeking a Product Owner-Platform Experience to join its Platform & Product Delivery team. Experience working with AI in product management or product development is required.

How can you make an impact?

As the a Product Owner-Platform Experience, you will work closely with users, technology product managers, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to conduct research, devise innovative ideas, requirements and roadmaps, work with the go-to-market (GTM) teams to successfully launch new platform builds and customer experiences, measure their in-field performance against KPIs, and implement improvement strategies and tactics. You will be responsible for partnering with your director to determine what the product team builds, the investment needed, and the KPIs tied to usage and quality of user experience. The Product Owner is responsible and accountable for the success of the platform build delivered to market.

The a Product Owner-Platform Experience is a champion of our platform vision and a catalyst of new opportunities balancing continued platform improvements with innovation. This role is an opportunity to shape the future direction of McGraw Hill's platform strategy and delivery for the higher education market.

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States and requires 10 - 20 percent travel throughout the year

What you will be doing:

  • Own investment business cases supporting platform strategy, including financial forecasts, KPIs, approvals, and execution.
  • Develop and deliver a market-focused roadmap with business and product leaders to maximize customer value and revenue.
  • Lead go-to-market planning for new features, including data capture, release timelines, training, and customer communications.
  • Conduct market and user research to understand customer needs, segment markets, and track competitive landscape.
  • Use data across the product lifecycle to guide decisions, innovate, and enhance customer experiences.
  • Partner across technical, product, and business teams to align strategy, investments, and deliver high-quality customer experiences.

What you can bring to this role:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of product management or related experience with a track record of delivering complex software products from inception to launch.
  • Skilled in managing multiple projects, vendors, and budgets simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong background in user research design, execution, and frequent customer interaction.
  • Data-driven mindset with expertise in analyzing financial, usage, and research data to guide market and product strategies.
  • Agile Product Owner certification and/or proven success managing software platforms with significant growth or revenue responsibility.

The pay range for this position is between $115,000-$120,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
