Description
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Enterprise Data to lead the organization's enterprise data strategy and ensure the delivery of scalable, secure, and reusable data assets. This corporate role will oversee the design, governance, and management of enterprise-wide data solutions to enable reporting, analytics, compliance, and informed decision-making across the manufacturing organization. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in enterprise data platforms, governance, and lifecycle management, with proven leadership in building and mentoring high-performing teams. This leader will champion data quality, compliance, and data-driven decision-making, ensuring adoption of modern enterprise data practices across corporate and plant-level functions. Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute the organization's enterprise data strategy aligned to business objectives.
- Build, mentor, and lead corporate-level team.
- Translate data strategy into actionable roadmaps with measurable business outcomes.
- Drive adoption of enterprise data solutions across manufacturing operations, engineering, supply chain, and corporate functions.
- Define and enforce enterprise data governance and compliance frameworks.
- Partner with technology, operations, engineering and business leaders to embed data-driven insights into decision making.
- Foster a culture of data literacy, ownership and accountability across corporate and plant-level teams.
- Communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively.
- Stay current with emerging trends in enterprise data management to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Enterprise Data Delivery
- Partner with IT and business systems teams to design scalable data platforms (warehouses, lakes, cloud, etc.)
- Build standardized dashboards and reporting templates in Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
- Enable self-service BI and analytics across the organization.
- Drive data integration across ERP, CPM, manufacturing, finance and customer systems.
- Standardize data definitions and models across the enterprise.
- Support AI/ML initiatives by providing clean, governed data.
- Monitor and resolve data quality issues (duplicates, missing fields, inconsistencies).
- Ensure best practices in data engineering, data quality, and lifecycle management.
- Embed data lineage, metadata, and governance standards into enterprise systems to support traceability and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee prioritization and execution of projects from ideation to deployment, ensuring timely delivery of business value.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity team to protect sensitive data
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and enterprise risk management frameworks.
- Promote responsible data practices, enduring accuracy, security and accountability.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks in enterprise data delivery and governance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise data management or related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale data solutions within a corporate or manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in data governance, data quality, metadata, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience implement and teaching End User tools.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Action-oriented leader with the ability to inspire innovation and foster a results-driven culture.
