Position Title: Technicians (Skill Levels II, III, and IV

Location: Wright Patterson AFB, OH

Division: Potowatomi Defense Operations, LLC

Clearance: This position requires an Active Secret Clearance

Position Summary

Potawatomi Defense Operations, LLC (a federal government contractor) seeks qualified full-time Technicians with a Secret clearance to support the Rapid Development Integration Facility (RDIF) support contract, onsite at Wright Patterson AFB, OH.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • A Technician performs a variety of technical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, paint and/or repair of equipment for use on all varieties of aircraft and/or support equipment.
  • Work involves most of the following: installing or repairing any of a variety of technical equipment.
  • Working from and/or creating/producing; blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, locating and diagnosing trouble in the system and/or equipment, working standard computations relating to technical requirements of equipment, and using a variety of hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.
  • Must be familiar with military technical manuals, technical orders, modification work orders and blueprints.
  • Must have ability to install prototype equipment on aircraft and make modifications to the existing systems and sub systems.
  • Coordinates with project engineer and/or management personnel throughout the project, and provide technical assistance to project engineers, contractors and factory representatives.
  • Must perform system and component repairs to a variety of aircraft, possess an in-depth knowledge of technical materials and repair techniques.
  • Must use tools and equipment associated with a technician shop.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • HS or equivalent formal apprenticeship program with experience in the essential duties and responsibilities shown above.
  • Skill Level II - 2 years of experience, Skill Level III - 3 years, and Skill Level IV - 4 or more years.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Experience with aviation is highly desirable.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension).
  • Capable of passing background investigation and periodic drug testing.

Additional Qualifying Factors:

  • Legally eligible to work in the United States (proof of eligibility will be required upon offer of employment).
  • Possess a valid driver's license (any state), ability to operate a motor vehicle, able to provide clean driving record and current vehicle insurance coverage.
  • Eligible for access onto military installations following background and security checks.
  • Flexibility with work schedule is mandatory because it impacts the ability to support and serve military.

  • Office/Manufacturing Facility setting.

Physical Demands:

  • Low impact, office setting.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
