The Opportunity

Ulteig is seeking highly skilled and motivated Lead studies-level engineering candidates to support power system studies in the renewable energy markets. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the advancement of renewable energy solutions through rigorous analysis and innovative engineering practices.

What You'll Do

As a Lead Studies Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of power system analysis in the renewable energy sector. You'll lead complex studies-such as TOV, TRV, AC interference, 5mA, insulation coordination, and EMF-using advanced tools like PSCAD, Polaris, CDEGS, ASPEN Line Constants, and TLW-GEN. Your expertise will help drive smarter, safer, and more efficient energy solutions.



  • Conduct high-level system studies to support renewable energy projects.
  • Apply specialized software to model and analyze electrical phenomena.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret results and recommend solutions.
  • Ensure technical accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.


  • Self-motivated individual who can provide quality support to owners in system studies in a fast-paced environment.
  • Help develop procedures for new study areas.
  • Identify and support business development.
  • Serve as a technical leader, applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to complex projects.
  • Serve as the technical lead on projects, coordinating with internal teams, external partners, and clients to ensure technical excellence and project success.
  • Conduct technical reviews and enforce quality control to maintain high standards in design and implementation.
  • Research new technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project performance and efficiency.
  • Participate in client meetings, present technical information clearly, and support proposal development with technical input.



What We Expect from You



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering required. ABET-accredited program or equivalent required
  • PE or P.Eng. license required
  • 7+ years of experience preferred in renewable energy, power systems, or a related industry.
  • Experience with engineering software such as ETAP, Easypower, PSCAD, Polaris, CDEGS, ASPEN Line Constants, and TLW-GEN required.
  • Experience working with renewable projects required
  • Independently completes assigned tasks required
  • Actively manages individual workload
  • Must be able to provide training and support to other engineers
  • Must be analytical, self-motivated, and possess the ability to work in high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic attitude
  • Excellent presentation and verbal/written communications skills
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, clients and external agencies
  • Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S

Additional Opportunity Details:
Target Base Compensation Range for this role $122,700-$155,500
