The Group Home Program Director provides overall leadership and direction for group home programs, ensuring youth and families receive high-quality, compassionate, and effective care. This role oversees program operations, staff supervision, and continuous improvement efforts that reflect the agency's mission, vision, and values.



Description

Job Responsibilities:



  • Lead and supervise program staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Oversee daily operations of group homes to ensure youth and families receive consistent, high-quality services aligned with treatment goals and agency policies.
  • Maintain safe, therapeutic environments and manage risk to ensure health and safety standards are met.
  • Use data to evaluate program performance, implement improvements, and develop new initiatives as needed.
  • Manage program budgets and resources to meet utilization and financial goals.
  • Represent the agency in community and marketing efforts and build partnerships with external stakeholders.
  • Uphold agency mission, values, and compliance standards while supporting continuous quality improvement.



Job Requirements

Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.


Experience:



  • Minimum of 3 years working with youth and families in a group home, residential, or child welfare setting.
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or management experience.


Skills and Competencies:



  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, risk management, and trauma-informed care.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and database programs.


Additional Requirements:



  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • TCI, First Aid, and CPR certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed.
  • Commitment to working with diverse populations.
