About the Opportunity: The Quality Team Lead will play a critical role in maintaining and improving the quality systems, processes, and culture at Pursuit Aerospace. This position provides leadership to the quality team and serves as a key liaison between quality, operations, engineering, and customers to ensure products meet or exceed internal and external requirements.

Location: Malden, MA

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of Quality Inspectors and Technicians in day-to-day activities.
  • Ensure that incoming, in-process, and final inspections are performed to quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of AS9100/ISO9001 standards and quality procedures.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes (RCCA/CAPA).
  • Monitor and report quality performance metrics, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide training, guidance, and development to quality team members.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality issues and support production goals.
  • Lead the team with a strong sense of urgency to meet customer delivery needs while ensuring there is never a compromise on safety or quality standards.
  • Escalate significant quality issues and customer complaints as necessary.
  • Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing or a similar regulated industry.
  • 5+ Experience with inspection tools, GD&T, and reading technical drawings.
  • 1+ years in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working with CNC machinery, PLCs, and automated systems.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Comfortable using manufacturing software systems and basic Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and quality systems (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example, motivate teams, and hold others accountable.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand, and walk.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
