Mission: Quantum is seeking a Software Developer Unit Tester, you will collaborate with developers, cybersecurity engineers, and mission stakeholders to ensure test coverage, traceability, and documentation meet both technical requirements and government quality standards. Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and execute unit test scripts for .NET applications in accordance with PWS quality assurance and software assurance deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with DoD testing frameworks and provide traceability to requirements, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
- Apply test-driven development (TDD) and best practices to increase automation and reduce reliance on manual testing.
- Utilize test frameworks such as NUnit, xUnit, and MSTest, and integrate them into government-directed CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
- Employ mocking/stubbing frameworks (e.g., Moq, NSubstitute) to support isolated testing of C# components.
- Provide test documentation, including Test Plans, Test Procedures, and Test Results Reports, aligned with RMF, DISA STIGs, and software assurance checklists.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to government-led Configuration Control Boards (CCBs).
- Support integration with mission systems hosted at the Force Tracking Mission Management Center (MMC) and other Army/Joint environments.
- Document findings and deliver defect reports, corrective action recommendations, and regression testing results in accordance with contract data requirements (CDRLs).
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Must have an Active Secret Security Clearance and be able to obtain a DOD Top Secret Security Clearance and be eligible for SCI
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience with C# .NET framework/core development and testing.
- Demonstrated experience with unit testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, MSTest).
- Familiarity with mocking frameworks (Moq, NSubstitute, RhinoMocks).
- Experience integrating tests into DoD-approved DevSecOps pipelines.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and secure coding practices.
- Knowledge of version control (Git), branching strategies, and government-mandated repository management.
- Active DoD 8570/8140 certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CISSP, CASP+) or ability to obtain within contract timeframe.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Experience supporting Army Software Factory or DoD software assurance initiatives.
- Familiarity with RMF processes, STIG compliance, and automated security scans (SonarQube, Fortify, Sonatype).
- Knowledge of containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS) supporting Army/Joint cloud adoption.
- Prior experience supporting SMDC, J6, or mission systems within the friendly force tracking ecosystem.
- Strong documentation skills to support contract deliverables (CDRLs, PWS tasking, and TO metrics).
