Vice Chair for Research - Neurology The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine's Department of Neurology is recruiting a visionary Vice Chair for Research (VCR) at the rank of Associate or Full Professor (tenure-eligible or non-tenure track). Building on a period of rapid faculty expansion, doubled extramural funding, and a new academic medical tower, the VCR will serve as the department's senior scientific leader, crafting and executing a multi-year research roadmap that advances basic, translational, and clinical discovery in stroke, epilepsy, cognitive neurology, neuroimmunology, and bioinformatics. Recently, the department welcomed a new Chair of Neurology who brings a forward-thinking vision and commitment to excellence in patient care, education, and research. This leadership change signifies an exciting new chapter for the department, aimed at further strengthening our clinical programs, expanding research initiatives, and enhancing educational opportunities for residents, fellows, and students. Together, with the support of OU Health Physicians and the OU Health System, the Department of Neurology is poised to continue its trajectory of excellence, serving as a leader in neurological care for Oklahoma and bey Candidates must hold an MD, PhD, or MD/PhD in Neurology, Neuroscience, or a related discipline and present a national reputation demonstrated by sustained peerreviewed funding and highimpact publications. Proven success in leading interdisciplinary teams, mentoring earlycareer investigators, and-if clinically active-eligibility for Oklahoma medical licensure and ABPN certification are required.
