A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify. The Resource Specialist is responsible for identifying, maintaining, and coordinating access to resources that support disaster survivors' recovery needs. This position develops and manages a comprehensive database of available federal, state, local, tribal, and non-governmental assistance programs and serves as the primary point of contact for case managers seeking referrals and resource information. The Resource Specialist ensures equitable access to services, including accommodations for individuals with disabilities and access/functional needs. Compensation & Benefits: Estimated Starting Salary Range for Resource Specialist: Pay commensurate with experience. The Resource Specialist must meet all North Carolina Emergency Management (NCEM) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) personnel requirements to be eligible for assignment under this contract. Background Investigation: Candidate must successfully complete a criminal background check prior to hire. Disclosures: Candidate must not have any felony convictions or convictions involving fraud, misappropriation, deception, or moral turpitude. Any regulatory sanctions, pending investigations, or civil litigation within the last three years must be disclosed as part of the vetting process.
