Responsibilities
The National Accounts A/R Lead is responsible for leading the accounts receivable (AR) function for assigned National Account clients, and research and application of cross-subsidiary payments. In addition, this role is instrumental in maintaining client relationships for assigned clients and participating in the training and mentoring of National Account staff. The position requires effective leadership, process optimization, and collaboration with internal teams and external clients. Responsibilities
- Oversee accounts receivable and collections process for assigned National Account clients.
- Ensure accurate application of payments across subsidiary boundaries.
- Manage payment postings and reconciliation using Wells Fargo Integrated Receivables and Dynamics.
- Track the financial performance of assigned National Account clients.
- Prepare AR reports for National Client Management team.
- Manage resolution of outstanding payment issues.
- Provide actionable insights to improve collection efficiency across the National Account program.
- Implement strategies to improve collections and enforce payment terms.
- Conduct a review of invoices submitted by offices for accuracy and completeness before submission to clients.
- Ensure client specific invoices adhere to contractual terms and are processed within specified timelines.
- Collaborate with procurement and compliance teams to maintain up-to-date vendor information.
- Monitor client specific aging reports and open items, ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding accounts.
- Maintain and update certificates of insurance for National Account clients, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
- Maintain accurate information in the collections database, tracking client interactions and payment statuses.
- Facilitate training and development of support staff in AR processes, ensuring high levels of proficiency and performance.
- Promote continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing within the team.
- Perform additional tasks as needed to support the overall success of the National Account Program.
Qualifications
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Business Finance, or related field.
- 8+ years of accounting experience.
- Valid driver's license is required if dribing for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary.
- Experience in managing and coordinating A/R activities.
- Strong leadership skills to assist in guiding, mentoring, and training AR support staff.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication ability; strong interpersonal skills.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, organized with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics a plus
